Continental Bobbins

Plain Continental Bobbins - Bruges (13) or Duchesse (14) - 60p each, 10 for £5.00

These bobbins are imported from Belgium, and are made from Guatambu wood.

Painted Continental Bobbins - Bruges (15) or Duchesse (16) - £1.50 each

As above but with one of the following painted motifs :
Owl, Bee, Spider, Butterfly (purple, turquoise, or orange-tip), Cat (black or tortoiseshell), Ladybird, Clown, Balloons, Lace fan, Lace pillow, Teddy bear (blue, pink, or brown), Shamrock, and Flowers (red, blue, pink, mauve, white, orange, yellow or turquoise).

Square Bobbins (22) - £1.50 each

Imported bobbins with a painted motif as listed below:

Fancy Square Bobbins (23) - £1.60 each

As the square bobbins above but these bobbins can be spangled, if required (70p extra).

Exotic Hardwood Bobbins

We offer a selection of hardwood bobbins in all styles. The £1.20 woods are illustrated on the colour photograph on Page 5, and the £1.40 woods are illustrated on Page 1 (apart from Rosewood which is only shown on Page 5)

£1.20 - Lemonwood (5), Maple (6), Walnut* (7) and Mahogany* (8) * - not available in honiton

£1.40 - Amarello (A), Kingwood (B), Pallisander (H), Purpleheart *(C), Tulipwood (J) and Rosewood (9)

£1.60 - Ebony.

We try to select the most suitable woods for bobbins but colour and grain patterns do vary. Small amounts of other woods are available from time to time. Please enquire if you want a wood which has not been listed.
